Summary of Position:
Our Automotive Service Advisors play a pivotal role as the initial point of contact between the Service Department and the vehicle owner. They must adeptly navigate technical knowledge through effective communication while cultivating clients through exceptional service.Duties & Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with clients and retain their business long term.
Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and professional appearance.
Assist in facilitating a welcoming atmosphere when greeting clients.
Providing efficient and accurate coordination before and during customer appointments.
Accurately record information and data into Dealer Management System.
Review customers history and consult on previously recommended repairs.
Perform quotations based on previous recommendations and future maintenance.
Active walk arounds, review and pre-qualify appointments.
Creating Customer repair orders using accurate and detailed information from the client.
Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service and good employee and community relations.
Provide Informed recommendations factoring in Safety, Reliability and Cost Effectiveness.
Responsible for overseeing the technician working on customers’ vehicle including their time management/efficiency, required parts and job completion times.
Explanation of billing post vehicle servicing to explain all work performed and provide future work recommendations with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Provide the Ultimate Customer Experience resulting in customer loyalty and everlasting relationships.
Qualifications:
Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and professional appearance.
Knowledge of features advantages and benefits of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Understanding of automotive systems and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Understanding basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail.
The ability to create the ultimate customer experience by meeting and exceeding set expectations.
Time management and communication skills.
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Must be capable of managing challenging customer situations, resolving conflicts, and building positive relationships even in difficult circumstances.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Must work congenially with other team members, with Technicians, and with those in other departments within the dealership.
Should be capable of working independently, managing his or her time and workflow.
Job Specifications:
3 - 5 years of experience in the automotive field in a similar position; luxury brand experience is preferred
Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds program an asset.
Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
Strong Communication skills.
Retail automotive service experience, preferred
Compensation: $60,000 per year
Work Environment:
Monday to Friday. The hours and days of work depending on your role with a 40-hour workweek for full-time employment.
