Blakes is currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Financial Services department in the Vancouver office.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities- Preparing, editing and formatting various correspondence and documents
- File maintenance, including: daily filing, file organization, opening and closing files
- Maintaining BF system
- Maintaining lawyers’ calendars, including scheduling meetings
- Coordinating travel arrangements for lawyers
- Entering timesheets and preparation of billings
- General administrative duties and support, as required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant preferred
- Intermediate level word processing skills
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
- Keyboarding at a minimum of 60wpm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive, privileged confidential communications and work product
- Ability to work well both independently and as a contributing member of a team, managing work and priorities successfully in each setting
- Reliable, responsible, self‑motivated and able to take initiative or be proactive where appropriate
- Professional, positive and can‑do attitude
This position offers a hiring salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
