Responsibilities- Reconciles and consolidates monthly financial accounts for Trans Link and subsidiaries.
- Maintains the General Ledger (GL) and relevant financial data.
- Liaises with Financial Systems staff regarding system maintenance and development.
- Assists in the preparation of annual audited consolidated financial statements.
- Prepares various tax returns and refund claims.
- Reconciles fixed asset sub‑ledgers to the GL control account.
- Prepares and follows up on accounts reconciliation.
- Liaises with Payroll department to prepare monthly payroll journals and reconcile to People Soft data.
- Prepares audit schedules.
- Provides information to external auditors, project managers, internal departments and suppliers.
- Participates as a team member on special projects, including development and enhancement of systems, procedures and processes.
- Provides backup to the Treasury Analyst for the electronic fund transfer upload and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or Finance and an accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA).
ExperienceRequires two (2) years previous experience in general accounting, in an organization where substantial utilization of computerized accounting systems has been involved. (This experience is in addition to that acquired concurrent with academic training.) A further period of up to one (1) year in the job is required to gain detailed knowledge of the General Ledger, computerized systems, and to become familiar with interfaces with other departments.

Recruitment Process:
An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
37.5 hours per week.
Work DesignationHybrid — This position offers the flexibility of working both on‑site and remotely within B.C.
Rate of PaySalary $7,556 – $9,062 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
