Our client is a privately held organization based in the Greater Vancouver area with a stable, long-standing operation and an in-house accounting team. They are seeking a Junior Property Accountant to support day-to-day accounting functions related to a portfolio of operating entities.

This role offers hands-on experience, exposure to month-end processes, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative finance team.

The Role:

The Junior Property Accountant will support transactional accounting and reporting activities, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting. This position is well suited for someone early in their accounting career who is looking to build a strong foundation in a structured, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including coding, tracking, and organizing invoices and payments
  • Perform financial data entry and assist with journal entries
  • Support month-end reconciliations and basic financial analysis
  • Maintain accurate records for internal accounts and third-party payers
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to billing and payments
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and general accounting support
Experience &

Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in accounting or finance, or currently working toward one
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting or junior property accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with an ERP or accounting system
