Senior Recruitment Consultant | Legal Recruitment (Lower Mainland BC)

Our client, a respected boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver
, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee the firm’s day-to-day financial operations and assist with general office administration and HR coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a close-knit, collaborative environment and wants to contribute to the ongoing success of a well-established legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, receivable, and monthly billings
  • Handle trust accounting and reporting in compliance with Law Society of BC requirements
  • Process payroll and employee benefits (experience with Ceridian an asset)
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
    , monitor accounts, and file GST, PST, TAF, and Work Safe remittances
  • Assist with year-end preparations for external accountants
  • Manage bank deposits, petty cash, and lawyer expense reimbursements
  • Oversee office administration
    , including vendor coordination and expense tracking
  • Support basic HR and office management duties as needed
  • Professionally liaise with lawyers, staff, clients, and third-party providers
About You
  • Completion of a college program or courses in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
    , preferably in a law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of A/P, A/R, G/L reconciliations, and trust accounting
  • Proficient with PC Law
    , Sage Accounting
    , and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
