Senior Tax Manager

Job Description:

• Deliver high-level tax planning strategies for clients
• Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing continuous feedback
• Coordinate and review special tax projects
• Assist with overall management and marketing of the tax group

Qualifications:

• CPA designation and completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Program
• Proficiency in Case Ware, Caseview, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office
• Experience in a public accounting firm as a manager or senior manager
• Ability to build strong working relationships with partners, clients, and related advisors
• In-depth knowledge of private company Canadian income tax matters
• Strong technical skills with a creative approach to practical solutions
• Excellent analytical, leadership, problem-solving skills, and professional judgment
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• High standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional client service
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to lifelong learning and continually improving knowledge related to this position

Skills - Must Have:

• Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax program
• 5+ years of Canadian tax experience at another CPA firm in Canada
• Experience managing a team of tax staff
• Experience in tax planning, compliance, returns, and income tax for private company clients
• Experience working with owner-managed, small to mid-sized organizations
• Current work experience at a CPA firm in Canada
• Ability to come into the Vancouver office on a hybrid schedule
