Senior Project Accountant

Base pay range: CA $80,000.00/yr - CA $95,000.00/yr. PATH Developments has a 20-year history of development across Western Canada and Washington state and has delivered over 12,000 residential units, along with several commercial, industrial and office projects. PATH is expanding its operations and actively acquiring new sites. PATH values excellence, trust, loyalty, and opportunities for growth within the company.
Responsibilities- Handle full cycle accounting for several projects
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of quarterly investor reporting packages
- Prepare monthly updates to proforma forecasts
- Coordinate monthly budget reviews by updating actuals and working with development and construction managers to update, document follow-up and action items
- Monitor project cash requirements and act as the point of contact for project capital calls, distributions, loan draws, and repayments
- Document, monitor, and liaise with interdepartmental teams regarding project milestones (LC tracking and release, warranty periods, deposits, prepaids)
- Implement and manage internal controls, business processes, and procedures for project accounting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, marketing, construction, and development teams to ensure timely completion of interdepartmental tasks (job cost tracking, equity and bank financing, budget approvals)
- Support senior management in annual budgeting and quarterly reporting; assist with special projects and ad hoc requests
- Involvement in transaction support, research on accounting and tax issues, and mentoring junior staff
- CPA designation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Sage Intacct is a strong asset
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams
- Strong task prioritization, ability to manage competing deadlines, and high attention to detail
