Job SummaryThe Year‑End Accountant supports the annual close and financial reporting process. This role focuses on balance sheet accuracy, clean reconciliations, and well‑organized working papers. The role ensures all accounts are complete, accurate, and supported before year‑end reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including:
- Cash
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Security Deposits
- Loans
- Equity
- Review revenue and expenses to confirm correct cut‑off
- Identify and correct prior‑year errors, where required
- Review and process bad debt write‑offs, if applicable
- Review fixed asset listings and depreciation schedules
- Confirm and reconcile intercompany balances
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Prepare complete year‑end working papers using Excel
- Complete other accounting tasks assigned by the Manager
- Accounting diploma or degree
- Intermediate‑level accounting experience
- Prior year‑end close or audit support experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Able to work independently in a deadline‑driven environment
- Reports to the Corporate Controller
- Works closely with the Finance and Accounting team
- Salary Range:
- Referral bonus program.
