We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our Clients Team. This role is ideal for a CPA-designated professional with strong experience in property accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, portfolio-based environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, audit coordination, and tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties.

• Manage and oversee the financial reporting for a portfolio of approximately 75 residential and commercial properties

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Compile and maintain year-end audit working papers and act as a key point of contact for external auditors

• Liaise closely with internal tax teams to support accurate and timely tax filings.
• Prepare and review partnership and corporate tax returns
  , ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Perform detailed variance analysis
  , identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and providing clear explanations to management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes as required.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  , with a strong preference for property-side experience (residential and commercial).
• Solid understanding of property accounting, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Experience preparing partnership and corporate tax returns is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines in a portfolio environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in variance analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with auditors, tax professionals, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
