Job Title:Senior Accountant – Public Practice
Location:Vancouver, BC
Work Model:In-office
Compensation:$70K to $80K
A long-established public practice firm is seeking an accomplished CPA to deliver accounting and advisory services with a strong emphasis on fostering long-term client relationships. Reporting into the Manager, you will be responsible for client communication and mentoring junior staff. Your duties include bookkeeping, preparing year end financial statements and files, preparing personal tax returns and corporate tax returns.

- Lead and develop junior staff through supervision, training, and ongoing performance support.
- Conduct and oversee audit engagements
, including planning, fieldwork, examination of accounting records, and preparation of audit findings. - Analyze and prepare financial information for individuals, departments, and companies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
- Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance by performing field audits and reviewing financial records in accordance with the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act, and other relevant requirements.
- Provide advisory insights by preparing tax returns
, evaluating financial systems, and recommending improvements to accounting processes and management practices.
- Between 3-5 years of experience in public practice
- A Canadian CPA Designation
- Bilingual in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin (required).
