Summary We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic individual to provide specialized instruction, supports, and case management for elementary students in a cross‑categorical special education classroom (mild‑moderate to moderate‑intensive). The ideal candidate will deliver individualized, research‑based interventions that promote academic, social‑emotional, and functional independence while collaborating with general education teams, families, and related service providers.

HOURS:
Full Time – Regular Teacher Hours
- Deliver direct, differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning needs across academic, communication, behavior, and life‑skills goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress reports; ensure compliance with timelines and legal requirements.
- Conduct formal and informal assessments (e.g., curriculum‑based measurement, observations, progress monitoring) to inform instruction and measure student growth.
- Design and implement behavior support plans, positive behavior interventions, and data‑driven behavior management strategies.
- Co‑teach, consult, and collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, provide accommodations/modifications, and facilitate inclusive practices.
- Provide transition planning and support (e.g., classroom, grade, and community transitions) to build independence.
- Work with families and guardians to communicate progress, involve them in goal‑setting, and provide home strategies.
- Coordinate services with related service providers (e.g., speech, occupational therapy, school psychologist).
- Maintain accurate records, IEP documentation, attendance, behavioral/data logs, and required reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, staffing, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
- Support student safety, supervision, and implement de‑escalation (CPI) techniques and safe physical management per district policy.

LD/DH/MD Certification, Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive Licensure, or Masters in Special Education K-12 required. CPI trained or the ability to be CPI trained with training being provided.
