Summary
The Van Wert City School District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist – Early Childhood who is passionate about supporting young learners and their families during critical developmental years. This position is based at our Early Childhood Center (ECC), serving Preschool and Kindergarten students, and offers an opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping high-quality early childhood special education services.
The School Psychologist will serve as the PK–K Grade-Level School Psychologist and function in a leadership capacity as the Preschool Special Education Coordinator. This role involves close collaboration with the ECC Principal and the District Special Services Coordinator, as well as serving as the building-level special education coordinator for Kindergarten.
This position is ideal for a school psychologist who enjoys early childhood assessment, consultation, systems-level problem solving, and leadership, and who values working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Experience working with preschool-aged students and knowledge of early childhood special education regulations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Leadership qualities and interest in coordinating early childhood special education services
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple timelines, and ensure compliance with special education requirements
