Registered Nurse – Dedicated Orientation Unit (5200) FT Nights

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith’s new Dedicated Orientation Unit is an 18‑bed unit focused on teaching newly hired Mercy caregivers the fundamental skills necessary to be successful. Each RN will act as a preceptor to two new hires and will care for medical telemetry patients with a 6:1 patient‑to‑nurse ratio. This role offers direct impact on the future of nursing and the opportunity to develop leadership skills.

• Position Details – Full‑time. Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000 for RNs with at least 1 year of experience (no contract).

• Qualifications
  • Education – Associate, Diploma, or BSN from a nursing school
  • Licensure – Current RN license in the hiring state or compact license; must meet all state board requirements
  • Experience – Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience
  • Preferred – Prior mentor or preceptor experience; medical‑surgical experience highly favored
  • Certifications – AHA Healthcare Provider card (complete within probation); ACLS and BLS (obtain within 90 days of hire)
