A&Z Engineering has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager and Office Lead in our growing civil and transportation design department. You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering roadway, trail, and utility infrastructure projects for INDOT and local municipalities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering DOT or LPA roadway and infrastructure projects, including roadway design, trails, and underground utilities. In this hybrid role, you will serve as both a Project Manager and Office Lead, balancing technical delivery with day-to-day leadership of the office and its staff.

From a project perspective, you will oversee design development, manage project schedules and budgets, and coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal team members to deliver high-quality civil engineering plans. This role requires practical design experience using Civil 3D or Micro Station and the ability to apply sound engineering principles to real-world solutions.

As an Office Lead, you will provide local leadership and mentorship, support staff development, and help foster a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with our family-first culture. You will assist with workload planning, resource coordination, and communication between the office and firm leadership, helping ensure consistency in quality, responsiveness, and teamwork. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who enjoys building relationships, supporting people, and contributing to the long-term growth and success of the office.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in transportation and infrastructure design
• PE license preferred or eligibility within one year
• Experience with INDOT or municipal roadway projects
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or Micro Station
