Adjunct Lecturer

Position Overview

Valparaiso University – Partner Solutions is recruiting adjunct instructors for its Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Training Program. The positions offer the opportunity to teach remotely and may include on‑campus laboratory work three days a week. This employer‑university program enables learning while working in a lab.

• Instruct students didactically in clinical laboratory science using effective educational methodologies and technologies.
• Coordinate and supervise student laboratory instruction and maintain technical expertise in clinical areas.
• Ensure the delivery of clinical laboratory curriculum for all disciplines.
• Identify program areas requiring qualified instruction, including Hematology, Immunology/Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Report to the director what worked well and what did not during the teaching period.

Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years related work experience in a clinical laboratory and didactic/clinical teaching experience (required).

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and organization skills.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about working with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Online teaching experience.
