Join us as a Team Leader at Loop Neighborhood Market, a leading convenience store chain based in Union City, CA, with locations across California. Established in 1978, Loop Neighborhood develops real‑estate, operates gas stations with convenience stores, car washes, and runs a wholesale division delivering fuel to dealer locations.
Position SummaryAs a Team Leader you will manage all aspects of store operations. You will receive training on our retail information system, inventory management, and ordering technology, and you will be responsible for daily paperwork, troubleshooting car‑wash and gas‑pump issues, forecasting, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and staff management. You will also drive a customer‑centric culture and represent our core values of People, Teamwork, Communication, Training, Results, Fun, and Safety.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Train and coach new staff, manage performance, and handle staffing needs.
- Create schedules, track time, and ensure accurate store paperwork reconciliation.
- Stock products, maintain store cleanliness, and manage product merchandising.
- Forecast, order, and control inventory with a focus on shrinkage control.
- Track and manage operating expenses to ensure profitability.
- Develop a sales-driven culture using data analysis, goal setting, and in‑store operating profit management.
- Ensure efficient, courteous customer service for customers, vendors, and staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve car wash and gas‑related issues.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and budget requirements.
- Maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment inside and outside the store.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Six to nine months’ experience as an assistant manager, manager, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong mathematics ability.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Desire to be part of a performance-driven team.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Reliable form of transportation to and from the workplace and off‑site training.
- Employees with us for 6 months to 3 years: 0.10 cents off a gallon of fuel.
- Employees with us for 3 years to 5 years: 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel.
- Employees with us for 5+ years: 0.40 cents off a gallon of fuel.
- Maximum 20 gallons and 2 fill ups per week.
The Team Leader position requires constant standing, bending, and reaching with moderate manual dexterity. Frequent lifting of 1 to 5 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40–50 pounds is required.
Additional Requirements- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week depending on business needs.
