Join Adventist Health to apply for the Social Services Practitioner (MSW) role. Adventist Health Vallejo has been helping people of all ages reach their fullest potential for more than 30 years. The facility is a freestanding 61‑bed center offering short‑term psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as partial hospitalization programs for adults. Our treatment programs focus on empowerment, connection, and a meaningful life.
Vallejo is one of the most versatile locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, with close proximity to San Francisco, Oakland, and the Napa Valley.
Renders clinical psychosocial services to patients and their families from neonate to geriatric. Assesses patients’ psychosocial needs, makes referrals to appropriate facilities or community agencies, and provides crisis intervention and bereavement counseling.
Job Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications may require a bachelor’s):
Required - Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent combination of education/experience:
Required - Three years’ experience in a social agency, hospital, or other organization dealing with health and/or welfare:
Preferred
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Preferred - Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM):
Required
- Utilizes effective problem‑solving strategies to reach decisions, take appropriate action, and follow through within assigned scope of responsibility.
- Provides consultation and counseling with patients, families, staff, and others in the service of patients.
- Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings and activities.
- Obtains or coordinates resources from community, social, health, and welfare agencies.
- Provides training for nursing staff to intervene during on‑call hours and weekends.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
