Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
We're partnering with a well-established, multi-entity supply chain organization serving the food, beverage, and specialty goods space to identify a hands-on Controller who thrives at the intersection of finance, operations, and logistics
.
This is not a “hands-off” role. It’s an opportunity for a senior accounting leader who enjoys being close to the business—supporting warehousing, transportation, and omnichannel distribution while helping scale processes as the platform continues to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing- Own the monthly and annual close across multiple entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis tied to operational drivers
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition tied to warehousing, logistics, and transportation services
- Partner closely with Operations to align activity data, billing, and financial reporting
- Oversee labor allocations, payroll-related accounting, and intercompany activity
- Maintain balance sheet integrity across AR, reserves, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
- Oversee cash activity, reconciliations, collections support, and working capital metrics
- Manage capital assets including fleet, equipment, and facility improvements
- Design and maintain strong internal controls across all accounting functions
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors
- Oversee sales tax, property tax, and regulatory reporting
- Own accounting systems, chart of accounts, and financial master data
- Drive automation and process improvements to streamline close and reporting
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while building scalable processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of close and reporting
- Strong GAAP knowledge and audit readiness experience
- Background in logistics, warehousing, transportation, distribution, or food & beverage strongly preferred
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Operations
- CPA a plus, not required
