Registered Nurse Per Diem, Infant/Toddler
Blythedale Children's Hospital
USD $65.00 – $69.00 / hour (per diem). Eligible for an additional $4/hour night shift differential.
Blythedale Children's Hospital is a leading pediatric hospital ჯანმრთ. As the only free‑standing children’s specialty hospital in New York State, we admit patients with complex medical conditions to our state‑of‑the‑art 94‑bed inpatient facility from academic medical centers across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Located just 25 miles north of Manhattan in beautiful Westchester County, we offer an inspiring work environment where healthcare professionals thrive.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health conditions. Truly
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality care.
- Maintain accurate patient стварibilities and documentation.
- Drive professional growth by actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Weekend and holiday commitments required.
- Night shift differential of $4 per hour applicable.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in a pediatric setting.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the New York ergänzt Department of Education as a registered professional nurse.
- BLS certification required.
- PALS certification encouraged.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to move or lift heavy equipment and patients weighing a minimum of 34–40 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination required for manipulating biomedical equipment (e.g., suction catheters, electric‑monitoring devices).
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for the majority of the time at work.
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced pediatric environment.
