Responsibilities for Senior level Mechanical Engineer:- Able to communicate directly with clients.
- Plan, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment.
- Duct design/piping design experience.
- Central plant cooling design.
- Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work.
- Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software).
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.
- Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget.
- Able to travel to project sites.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- EIT/PE a plus.
- 10+ years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm including some Mission Critical (data center) design experience.
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge and familiarity in use of mechanical engineering software such as but not limited to heat loss/gain calcs, pipe‑flo, CFD modeling, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to jr staff for project development.
- Must be self‑motivated and know project design steps/requirements.
