Infrastructure Engineer; SBC​/Web Infrastructure​/Cloud Architecture

Overview

We are looking for a senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Server-Based Computing (SBC), Web Infrastructure, and Public Cloud (AWS/Azure), combined with solid experience managing external providers. This role requires a professional who can balance hands-on technical knowledge with architectural oversight and vendor governance, ensuring high-quality service delivery across global infrastructure platforms.

Location:

Remote (EU-based candidates only)

Business Trips:
Occasional travel to Germany

Full-time

Duration: 12 months++ (long-term project)

• Manage and govern external infrastructure providers, ensuring SLA compliance and service quality
• Develop system design solutions in collaboration with providers or propose independent architectural improvements
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of platform services in the assigned area
• Contribute to service strategy definition and infrastructure architecture
• Prepare and participate in architectural quality reviews
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into infrastructure design solutions
• Support Service Owner and stakeholders with approvals, task coordination, and project alignment
• Ensure alignment with global and regional initiatives, considering dependencies
• Identify, track, and escalate issues in cooperation with other work streams
• Implement and optimize global Data Center services and ITIL processes
• Ensure data security and information protection within Data Center services
• Prepare and deliver status reports, rollout plans, risk assessments, and related documentation
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with third-party vendors
• Work effectively within globally distributed virtual teams

• Deep understanding of SBC environments (Citrix, Terminal Services)
• Strong knowledge of Web Infrastructure (Apache, IIS, Tomcat)
• Experience working in enterprise-scale, globally distributed environments
• Ability to operate strategically while maintaining operational awareness
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
