Job Summary

The Multi-Craft Technician is part of a team of skilled and general maintenance support technicians responsible for performing the full range of campus-wide operational maintenance and troubleshooting of systems. The position provides support for projects involving electrical and building internal wiring, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.

Responsibilities
  • Provides support for projects involving HVAC, plumbing, painting, masonry, carpentry, cabinetry, drywall installation and repair, and electrical repair
  • Responsible for the installation and repair of suspended ceilings
  • Documents and communicates actions and findings of work orders or projects
  • May oversee/escort 3rd party vendors
  • Estimates quantity of materials needed for each project
  • Operates equipment such as hand tools, shop equipment, aerial man lift, forklift, and backhoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Required:

    High School or GED
  • Required:

    3 years building maintenance/multi-trade experience
  • Preferred: 5+ years building maintenance/multi-trade experience
Proposed Salary

42,100 - 50,500

Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction industry best practices
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineered drawings
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
  • Ability to document using a computer-based Work Order System
  • Irregular/early morning schedule outside of normal business hours may be required to achieve project completion and will be based on project load
