Assistant Manager II – Family Dollar
Location: 964 N. St. Augustine Rd, Valdosta, Georgia
Responsibilities- Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
- Provide positive customer service and address concerns.
- Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey requests, etc.
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays.
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record‑keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
- Maintain stores and stockroom to company standards and secure all company assets, including cash.
- Enforce safety guidelines and ensure associates follow policies.
- Help manager supervise, train, and develop associates.
- Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
- Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment.
