Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and help meet sales targets.

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, leveraging your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step in as needed to support sales floor operations and leadership support when required.
• Open and close the store as scheduled, managing store keys responsibly.
• Process sales transactions at the register, using your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Understand store sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Support the development of a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate and merchandise within the store, and lift up to 50 pounds.
