Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Valdosta, GA for an Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, manage food preparation and presentation, and ensure that culinary offerings meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include crafting seasonal menus, supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory and costs, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. The Executive Chef will also lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration in the kitchen.
Qualifications- Experience in menu development, food preparation, and culinary presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen operations, and inventory management
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build a collaborative team environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume or institutional kitchen setting
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control is a plus
- Serv Safe certification or similar food safety credential is preferred
