The responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Marketing Strategy & Content Creation (30%)
    • Develop and implement marketing campaigns that promote housing events, resources, and opportunities.
    • Create engaging digital and print materials, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
    • Utilize resident feedback to refine marketing strategies and enhance engagement.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence Management (25%)
    • Oversee housing’s social media accounts, including content scheduling, engagement tracking, and community interaction.
    • Develop digital campaigns that highlight the benefits of on-campus living.
    • Analyze social media metrics to optimize outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Collaboration & Campus Partnerships (20%)
    • Coordinate with Admissions, Student Life, and other campus partners to align marketing efforts with university-wide initiatives.
    • Support joint marketing campaigns to enhance recruitment and retention.
    • Serve as a liaison between Housing and university marketing teams.
  • Event Promotion & Community Engagement (15%)
    • Design marketing materials for housing events, open houses, and resident programs.
    • Support event execution by promoting participation and ensuring visibility across communication channels.
    • Gather resident testimonials and success stories to showcase the residential experience.
  • Data Analysis & Assessment (10%)
    • Track marketing performance metrics, including social media engagement, website traffic, and campaign effectiveness.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine future strategies and adapt to student needs.
    • Conduct surveys and focus groups to assess marketing impact and resident satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program dents admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.
  • Strong time management skills to allow successful autonomous work.
  • Flexibility to adjust and change schedules to match department or job priorities.
  • Drive to give improve the residential experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Eagerness to learn skills outside their specific graduate role, for example, learning the facilities side of our Housing department.
  • Experience with Housing and Residence Life as a student assistant, involvement with Residence Hall Association (RHA), or involvement in National Residence Hall Honorary.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Proposed Salary
  • A monthly stipend of $1000.00 per month.
  • A tuition waiver, reducing your graduate tuition to $25 per semester plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship.
