Chemical Lab Technician

Our Quality Control Department tests materials to ensure CJB meets customer specifications. We are seeking an experienced Lab Technician who approaches assignments with a strong drive to master and complete tasks with a high degree of structure.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, inquisitiveness, and the ability to analyze data. They should be comfortable with routine and repetitive work and adaptable to change.

• Obtain samples from production and raw materials as required.
• Maintain organized inventory of retain samples.
• Perform physical and chemical testing of products and record results accurately.
• Interpret and explain manufacturing and packaging instructions.
• Keep the lab clean and organized.
• Work varying shifts based on customer and production needs.
• Dispose of waste materials properly.

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing lab setting.
• Experience testing active ingredients with HPLC and GC equipment.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.

The physical requirements include lifting up to 30 lbs, standing, walking, and other movements necessary to perform job duties. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Performance will be evaluated annually by a supervisor or manager.
