Job Summary

The PLC Electronics Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, motor control systems, and communication networks to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and diagnose faulty electronic equipment using tools and software.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install PLCs, HMIs, and inverter control packages.
  • Maintain and install fiber and copper communication networks.
  • Collaborate with IT on data transfer and reporting.
  • Provide documentation, SOPs, and training to support operations.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEC codes.
  • Respond to after-hours calls as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Adhere to all safety, food safety, and GMP standards.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in PLC, HMI, and motor control system development, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Specialized training in:
    • PLC programming (ladder logic, function block, statement list)
    • HMI configuration (screen layout, animation, alarms)
    • Documentation and program structure
    • Electrical and mechanical diagram interpretation
Skills
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical ability.
  • Understanding of industrial codes (NEC, NFPA, IEC).
  • Ability to work independently and flexible hours as needed.
Compensation

$32.00 - $34.00 per hour
