Essential Functions Statement:

  • Drives the direction of the staff in terms of tone, motivation, safety, organization and cleanliness.
  • Consistently relays important information to leadership.
  • Water quality Management:
    Conduct daily testing, adjust chemicals (chlorine, pH), and maintain all water features (pools, slides, wave pools) to exceed health standards.
  • Team Leadership & Training:
    Supervise, schedule, and train maintenance staff on operations, safety protocols, troubleshooting, and equipment handling (pumps, filter, motors).
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM):
    Oversee daily, periodic, and emergency maintenance schedules for rides, structures, grounds, and mechanical systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to federal, state (Georgia), OSHA, ADA, and ASTM guidelines; manage documentation and reporting.
  • Technical Operations:
    Act as a liaison, troubleshoot issues, and manage minor repairs on pump slides and other attractions.
  • Emergency Response:
    React calmly and effectively to emergencies, acting as a point person for incident management.

    Ensure a safe, clean, and exceptional environment for all guests.
  • Signs off staff for safety critical checklists
  • Assists admin with LRI-related job tasks
  • Prepares and relays yearly rebuild orders for review

Ride Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections and preventive maintenance towards mechanical systems
  • Diagnoses system failures and provide immediate and corrective action.
  • Troubleshoots by referring to technical manuals and while utilizing a systematic approach.
  • Responds to ride calls during operating hours and make repairs as required
  • Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable mechanical systems.
  • Researches defective mechanically-controlled items/parts and instructional information to complete the repair process when needed.
  • Documents log books for completion of inspections, corrective action, and/or repairs made.
  • Completes all job functions in a safe and timely manner.
  • Works comfortably at heights up to 200+ feet
  • Perform other duties as needed

Position

Qualifications:

  • Education and / or Experience—High school degree or GED. Proficient in the use of common hand tools including torque wrenches. Must have own tools. Two (2) years of experience in water quality is required.
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak to customers, vendor and employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills—Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of the Metric System in weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to use hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical blueprints during routine maintenance/troubleshooting.
  • Reasoning Ability-- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
