Job SummaryThe PLC Electronics Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, motor control systems, and communication networks to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Test and diagnose faulty electronic equipment using tools and software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install PLCs, HMIs, and inverter control packages.
- Maintain and install fiber and copper communication networks.
- Collaborate with IT on data transfer and reporting.
- Provide documentation, SOPs, and training to support operations.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEC codes.
- Respond to after-hours calls as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Adhere to all safety, food safety, and GMP standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in PLC, HMI, and motor control system development, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Specialized training in:
- PLC programming (ladder logic, function block, statement list)
- HMI configuration (screen layout, animation, alarms)
- Documentation and program structure
- Electrical and mechanical diagram interpretation
- Strong diagnostic and analytical ability.
- Understanding of industrial codes (NEC, NFPA, IEC).
- Ability to work independently and flexible hours as needed.
$32.00 - $34.00 per hour
