JOB LOCATION : Main Campus

DEPARTMENT: PULMONARY SERVICES

SCHEDULE: Full Time, 12 HR Night Shift,

- $20,000 Sign On Bonus

Position Summary

Responsible for ventilator management and of all post op cardiovascular patients, patient assessment, respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic modalities such as: bedside bronchoscopy assistance; bedside Pulmonary Function Testing; all point-of-care testing and quality control for point-of-care testing. RCP’s will be expected to complete unspecified duties as the need arises.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Cardiovascular ICU Experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Certification.
  • Current RCP license with the Georgia State Board of Medical Examiners. ACCS Certification preferred.
Working Conditions

Comfortable indoor environment. Subject to hazards of flammable and explosive gases, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends, subject to high levels of stress. Requires considerable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds), and pushing (equipment, carts, beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs). Requires ability to work in a confined, often stressful environment. Requires an ability to follow prescribed techniques, policies, and procedures.

Needs the capability of close attention to detail. Needs the ability to assess and respond to changes in patient condition. Likely to be exposed to blood and body fluids including infectious diseases, on a daily basis.
