Job Description

Performs cardiac ultrasound imaging procedures, including 2‑D, M‑Mode, color flow mapping, Doppler studies, Tissue Doppler, Strain imaging, echo stress testing, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Calculates study results, prepares patients for exams, exports digital studies for physician review, operates Change Healthcare PACS Viewing station, and takes after‑hours echo calls on weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Required formal training and education. Eligible for RDMS, RCS (non‑invasive registry), or RDCS credentials.
  • Current CPR certification mandatory.
  • Experienced and competent in all cardiac ultrasound imaging procedures.
  • Must pursue registry status within 1 year of hiring and maintain it by meeting continuing education requirements.
  • Must continually enhance professional knowledge and use it to make quality imaging decisions.
  • Pediatric experience a plus but will train.
Working Conditions – ADA Information

Hospital or clinic setting; requires standing, stooping, bending, lifting (over 50 lbs.), pushing carts, beds, wheelchairs. Likely exposure to blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases.
