The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate's area of expertise.

Based on the Proclamation:
Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (H-1B), VSU will not be sponsoring any new H-1B visa petitions until further notice.

Part time instructors will customize and deliver online graduate-level courses. This includes, but is not limited to items such as: updating syllabi information and assignment due dates, revising course schedules, responding to students' emails and discussion board postings, delivering synchronous and asynchronous course content, assessing students' performances, and posting students' final course grades.

• Master's degree in the appropriate field
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning

• Preferred Experience
• Doctorate degree in the appropriate field
• Prior experience designing online instructional content
• Prior experience teaching graduate level courses
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
• A record of mentoring students

Proposed Salary:
Commensurate with experience

Position Requires completion of VSU's Annual Compliance Training course (e.g., State Business Transactions, Drug Free Workplace, Anti-Harassment Policy, Introduction to Information Security, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Policy, USG Ethics Policy, Conflict of Interest/Outside Activities Policy, Leave Procedures for Faculty and Staff, Georgia Open Records Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Contracts 101). Supervisory positions require training in FMLA and Worker's Compensation.
