Job SummaryThe Department of Special Education and Social Foundations within the School of Education at GGC invites applications for Part-time Faculty positions in the area of Special Education. The successful candidate will have knowledge of best practices in providing special education services and experience with supervising teacher candidates in field experiences. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in high-incidence disability categories and autism spectrum disorders.
This position is to create a pool of interested candidates from which the department may draw as courses become available. The posting will remain active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
Part-Time faculty positions are semester-based and report directly to the Department Chair. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. These positions are on an as-needed basis. Positions require additional time outside of class to provide written feedback to students and to meet individually with students throughout the semester. Part-Time faculty may teach in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters.
Classes at Georgia Gwinnett College are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening including weekends.
A Master s degree in this field or related discipline from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications- A Doctorate degree (Ph.D.).
- Minimum of three (3) years of public school teaching experience is preferred.
