Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is accepting applications for part-time History faculty for the academic year. The posting remains active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part-Time faculty positions are semester-based and report to the Department Chair. Courses may be conducted in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. Positions are on an as-needed basis and require additional time outside of class to provide written feedback and meet with students.
Classes are offered in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters, with morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options.
Required: A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred:
- Terminal degree in the teaching discipline
- 1-year college-level teaching
- Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
Knowledge: Strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community. GGC values innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring (advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty).
