Job Summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is now accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in Mathematics in the School of Science & Technology for the academic year ). The posting will remain active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part-Time faculty positions are semester-based and report to the Department Chair. Courses may be delivered face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended formats. These positions are on an as-needed basis.

Positions require additional time outside of class for written feedback to students and for meetings with students throughout the semester. Part-Time faculty may teach in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters. Classes are offered morning, afternoon, evening, and may include weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Developing course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper-division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
  • Reviewing, evaluating and recommending student learning materials.
  • Evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
  • Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
  • Required Qualifications

    A minimum of a master9s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Terminal degree in the teaching discipline
    • 1-year college-level teaching
    • Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
