Job SummaryThe Physics Program is seeking part-time, adjunct faculty to teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and laboratory courses for Physics majors and non-majors depending upon specific qualifications. Part-time faculty are critical to the mission of the Physics Program. Part-time positions may or may not be available every semester; part-time faculty are hired as needed. However, part-time opportunities are typically available each semester.
ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities/Duties: To teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., PHYS 1111, 1111L, 1112, and 1112L and ASTR 2313 and 2313L).
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in physics or related discipline
- Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physics or related discipline.
- Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Physics or related discipline) should correlate with the specific areas of application.
- Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings
