Job SummaryThe selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Based on the recent Proclamation:
Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (H-1B), VSU will not be sponsoring any new H-1B visa petitions until further notice.
- Teach courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Counselor Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, Educational Psychology, or Industrial Organizational Psychology.
- Engage with students in synchronous or asynchronous online classrooms as required by the program.
- Deliver fully in‑person instruction in the Marriage and Family Therapy program on the Valdosta campus.
- Maintain scholarly activity and professional practice consistent with faculty standards.
- 100% teaching
Counselor Education
- Ph.D. in Counselor Education
- Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
- Experienced clinician
- AAMFT Approved Supervision Certification or Georgia State Board equivalent
- M.Ed. or Ph.D. in Educational Psychology or closely related field
- Ph.D. in Industrial‑Organizational Psychology or related field
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
- A record of mentoring students
- Experience teaching online
Commensurate with experience.
