Job Title: Part-Time Instructor (Human Services)

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Based on the recent Proclamation:
Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (H-1B), VSU will not be sponsoring any new H-1B visa petitions until further notice.

• Teach courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Counselor Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, Educational Psychology, or Industrial Organizational Psychology.
• Engage with students in synchronous or asynchronous online classrooms as required by the program.
• Deliver fully in‑person instruction in the Marriage and Family Therapy program on the Valdosta campus.
• Maintain scholarly activity and professional practice consistent with faculty standards.

• 100% teaching

• Ph.D. in Counselor Education

• Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
• Experienced clinician
• AAMFT Approved Supervision Certification or Georgia State Board equivalent

• M.Ed. or Ph.D. in Educational Psychology or closely related field

• Ph.D. in Industrial‑Organizational Psychology or related field

• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
• A record of mentoring students
• Experience teaching online

Commensurate with experience.

• Successful completion of a background check investigation, including a criminal background check
• Reference checks

• Satisfactory credit check
• Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
