SUMMARYResponsible for facilitating the sale of fuel and filling of fuel tanks of marine equipment and vessels.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist vessels with docking and undocking.
- Observe pump meters and receives and processes payments from customers for purchases.
- Perform routine maintenance to work area in order to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Ensure the work area is clean and tidy including moving supplies and/or equipment to designated storage areas.
- Ensure work is being performed according to company operational and safety standards.
- Act as a first responder to fuel spill incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
ExperienceEntry level, no experience required. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with outdoor safety and/or customer service.
Technical ProficiencyProficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
Competencies- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
- Knowledge of and the ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate and/or maintain machinery, tools and equipment.
Must be able to work some overtime. This is a seasonal position.
Working ConditionsWorks both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
