The City of Valdez Building Maintenance Department is hiring winter snow shovelers/laborers. Under general supervision by a Building Maintenance Technician, successful applicants will remove snow from City facilities including roofs and provide other snow removal support as needed to other departments or facilities.

This is a temporary, non-benefited position working up to 37.5 hours per week during the winter months.

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have valid AK Driver's license - will be required to undergo driving history check.
• Small snow removal equipment experience preferred

Knowledge, skills, and other characteristics:

• Experience working on small snow removal equipment is preferred

Physical requirements and work environment:

• Work is performed in an outdoor environment on roof tops. Wind and other dangerous conditions may exist.
