The Clinical Assistant is an expanded role for the Certified Nursing Assistant and functions as a member of the nursing staff, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, focusing on performing functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit and contribute to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.

• Perform functional tasks that support the orderly operation of the nursing unit under RN supervision.

• Required Qualifications
• Coursework/Training:
  Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course.
• Upon hire:
  Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Within 30 days of hire:
  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

• Preferred Qualifications
• 6 months as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private caregiver.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
