The Resident Assistant functions as a member of the nursing staff under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Nurse who is the Team Leader; performs basic routine nursing tasks that provide for the comfort and care of the patient or resident, these duties/tasks center around the resident by assisting them in all activities of daily living. Reports observation of patients to the Team Leader;

performs functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit and contributes to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.

• Assist residents in activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Nurse who serves as Team Leader.
• Report observations of patients to the Team Leader.
• Perform tasks that maintain orderliness of the nursing unit and contribute to the overall functioning of the clinical area.

• Coursework/Training:
  Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course.
• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

• 6 months - Experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private caregiver.

Up to $2,500 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible full-time external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
