The City of Valdez Fire Department is hiring for Fire Hydrant snow removal. This is a temporary, non-benefited position. Successful applicant must have knowledge of hydrant locations in Valdez or be able to read a map for location purposes. Position is open until filled, review of applications begins January 30, 2026.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment- Work is performed in an outdoor environment near busy roads and intersections. Wind, blowing snow and ice, and other dangerous conditions may exist.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have valid AK Driver's license
- Will be subject to review of record up on offer of employment
