About the OpportunityThe Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. The CRNA will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective anesthesia administration. This role involves preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative care, with a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.
Position DetailsPosition will be expected to work a variable schedule worked and needed coverage at Vail Health facilities, including, but not limited to, Vail Health Hospital, Vail Valley Surgery Center locations, and Dillon Surgery Center. Additional compensation will be paid for overtime according to company policy and applicable laws.
What You Will Do- Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan.
- Manage the patient's airway and respiratory status.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after a medical procedure.
- Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases.
- Perform regular patient visits and legibly record findings in the patient records.
- Request and assess diagnostic tests.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field, including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques.
- Model the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a CRNA required.
- Must be skilled in airway management techniques and chronic pain treatment.
- Possess superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of current anesthesia practices and techniques.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
- Current CRNA certification in the state of Colorado required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job‑specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs like Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point is required.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree.
Hourly Pay: $195 - $225 USD
