Construction Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager

We are seeking a Construction Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager to support a well-established construction organization based in the Vail Valley. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with strong construction accounting experience who enjoys managing job costing, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations in a project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity within Quick Books
• Oversee construction job costing, expense allocations, draw preparation, and cash flow forecasting
• Maintain subcontractor and vendor compliance documentation including insurance certificates, W-9s, and 1099 reporting
• Prepare monthly financial statements, bank and credit card reconciliations, and project budget reporting
• Support tax and compliance requirements including sales and use tax filings and coordination with external CPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or real estate environments
• Strong proficiency with Quick Books, Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), and Microsoft Office 365
• Highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
