We are a multifaceted CPA firm with 14 offices, providing financial and tax planning to our business and personal clients. We have close relationships with financial advisors and family attorneys which enable us to provide a full array of services to our clients under one roof.

Capstone is on the lookout for an experienced Tax Leader ready to step into a high-impact role. If you're someone who loves tax, thrives in a leadership role, and enjoys building strong client relationships—this might be the perfect fit.

We are looking for an experienced CPA to add to our dynamic team of professionals in our Vail, CO office. You’ll be the go‑to expert for a variety of clients—from business owners to individuals—helping them navigate complex tax scenarios and develop customized strategies. But beyond the technical side, you’ll mentor rising professionals, lead engagements, and help us grow our presence in the community.

This role is a blend of technical depth, leadership, and business development.

• CPA license and a Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years in public accounting, including corporate, partnership & individual taxation
• A knack for mentoring and developing teams
• Strong communication skills and a love for building lasting relationships
• A proactive, growth‑minded approach to your work
• Someone with a desire and ability to work directly with clients and staff

• Apply your solid knowledge of current federal and state tax laws to provide great tax outcomes for our clients.
• Offer strategic tax planning and guidance tailored to each client.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing tax team.
• Help grow the firm’s client base and service offerings through networking and referrals.
• Represent Capstone in the community and professional circles.
• Stay current on tax law changes and share your knowledge across the firm.
