Database Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Database Developer SQL Server to design, optimize, and maintain enterprise-level databases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server development, performance tuning, database design, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and cloud database solutions (Azure SQL, Postgre

SQL). This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of data architecture to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize high-performance databases for enterprise applications.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

Implement best practices for indexing, partitioning, and query performance tuning.

Analyze query execution plans and optimize database performance to reduce latency and improve efficiency.

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best database management practices.

Work with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Postgre

SQL to develop and manage cloud-based database solutions.

Implement ETL processes, data migration strategies, and data transformation techniques.

Collaborate with development teams to design and integrate database structures that support application needs.

Automate database maintenance tasks, backups, and recovery plans.

Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, deadlocks, and transaction logs.

Implement high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies, including Always On availability groups, replication, and failover clustering.

Stay updated with the latest database technologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in database development, focusing on SQL Server.

Strong expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning.

Experience with Azure SQL, Postgre

SQL, and cloud-based database solutions is a plus.

Proficiency in database indexing, partitioning, and normalization techniques.

Experience with ETL development, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and data transformation.

Knowledge of database security, encryption, authentication protocols, and role-based access control.

Strong experience with backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.

Familiarity with Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines for database deployments and version control.

Hands-on experience with Power Shell scripting for automation of database tasks is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently.

Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in big data technologies and No

Exposure to data warehousing, reporting, and business intelligence (BI) solutions.

Familiarity with Kafka, Rabbit

MQ, or other event-driven architectures.
