Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage) (T0827) role at Target.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices, merchandising setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader for all areas.
• Learn how operational procedures, such as setting up and organizing merchandise, managing product stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas, affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about the resources, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues for guests and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.
• Capable of safely handling merchandise, including lifting up to 44 pounds and climbing ladders when required.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays) with reliable attendance.
