This role leads the strategic direction of Quality Assurance across a core product category and additional application‑based product lines. The ideal candidate brings a Mechanical Engineering background, strong strategic and customer‑facing capabilities, solid project management experience, and a track record in new product development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long‑term quality strategies for assigned product programs, including determining in‑house versus third‑party testing approaches.
- Research and document changes to original equipment specifications to ensure consistent product quality; provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Own and manage product sample inventories used for quality evaluation and claims, including samples, drawings, and packaging materials.
- Design and implement a structured claims process, coordinating communication across field teams, vendors, and third‑party partners, and delivering documented resolutions to customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sourcing, product management, logistics, sales, customer service, and vendor partners to align priorities related to quality assurance and claims.
- Identify and partner with external vendors and independent testing facilities to support timely claim resolution.
- Continuously improve quality processes to drive faster internal and customer‑facing resolutions, including fitment, packaging, and receiving‑related issues.
- Review testing and quality documentation; recommend and implement enhancements to testing methods and procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and govern standard operating procedures, including test specifications and claims workflows.
- Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in Category or Product Management and Quality/Claims Management
- Familiarity with filtration products and global sourcing environments
- Experience with quality management in automotive or related manufacturing industries
- Understanding of OE parts and how products are introduced into the aftermarket
