Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring an active CA RN license, BLS, and NRP certification.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Primary responsibilities include caring for mothers throughout labor and delivery and monitoring high-risk births
- Uses Epic as the electronic medical records system
- Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Contingent workers may not exceed two years of consecutive or cumulative assignment without a 90-day break per policy
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required at time of consideration
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required
- High-risk OB experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Five years of recent Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
- One year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
